Check us independently

This page is served by the same deployment it describes, so a total outage would make it unreachable rather than red. Point your own monitor at the machine-readable endpoint, which answers 503 when the database is unreachable or ingestion has stopped:

What each state means

Operational —
the site is serving, the status database is reachable, and provider data is refreshing on schedule.
Degraded —
pages still load, but the data behind them has stopped refreshing. Treat anything shown as of its last check time, not as current.
Major outage —
the status database is unreachable, so pages fall back to a built-in catalog and no live vendor status is available.
